LINZ in HTML

A workshop with cym, exploring the city Linz, transforming it into a web reconstruction.

The workshop will consist of 2 parts:

  • an excursion through the town, exploring the city and its networks
  • a basic introduction to Webdesign, HTML and CSS style sheets
  • The technical part of the workshop will focus on creating a simple website using HTML and style-sheets.
The content part will use the city as a starting point to create a website using HTML and style sheets.

The workshop is open for anyone with very little or no knowledge of HTML/style-sheets, but will also be interesting for anyone with basic knowledge of webdesign who would like to play around with different ways of presenting content.

    Surveilled Walking

    Ironic comment on surveilling
The basic idea is to create a suit that fullfills 2 functions at a time: 1) to be hypervisible to other people walking along; 2) being in the recpetion angle of a surveillance camera, to reflect the picture of the camera to itself via a mirroring surface, which is the suit. With this sleazy suit, this is of course not possible. It is self ironic as well, as it makes clear - one cannot be invisble to cameras. Right?

Reni Hofmülller wants to make 1 public intervention on surveillance in public
space, and will concentrate on the square around maiz
it will probably look like that:
