PlayLab

soldering ! **

we built simple circuits boards for flashing LEDs, photosensitive sensors, and light switches using velleman kits, and basic soldering material (soldering gun, solder, the infamous 'undo', clamps and wire).

some boards sizzled, even sometimes a small cloud of smoke, others were successful and LEDs blinked and flashed!

Launch Lounge Playground and Report

Launch Lounge Playground
Venue: foyer STWST
days: thursday, 12th - saturday, 14th
time: 10:30 -14:00
facilitators: b#, kriztina, magde

LAUNCH LOUNGE

the playground knows no onedimensional knowledge but includes approaches,
knowledge and the creativity of its participants only.

the playground provides things, technics and materials for free use. the
difference to a workshop is, that we want to encourage to simply play with
things without the fear of not knowing or doing something 'wrong' - in the
playground the categories of right or wrong don't exist anymore.

every day we set a topic, a goal that we want to reach by evening. the process
of doing is more important than the outcome.
at the end of each day people present what they have been doing during the day

LINZ in HTML

A workshop with cym, exploring the city Linz, transforming it into a web reconstruction.

The workshop will consist of 2 parts:

  • an excursion through the town, exploring the city and its networks
  • a basic introduction to Webdesign, HTML and CSS style sheets
  • The technical part of the workshop will focus on creating a simple website using HTML and style-sheets.
The content part will use the city as a starting point to create a website using HTML and style sheets.

The workshop is open for anyone with very little or no knowledge of HTML/style-sheets, but will also be interesting for anyone with basic knowledge of webdesign who would like to play around with different ways of presenting content.
