"Eclectic Tech Carnival" /A/ Linz

The "Eclectic Tech Carnival" invites all women to participate in the
6th annual /Eclectic Tech Carnival (/etc for short) in Linz: A
unique computer skill-sharing opportunity. A several day-night
carnival of exchanging computer related skills for women by women.
For the first time, we will hold 2 /etcs in the same year, one in
Linz and one in Brasil. In Linz, the "Eclectic Tech Carnival" will
be focusing on themes of gender, technology and art. Along with
workshops on critical ways of dealing with everyday technologies,
there will also be space for women to be politically, creatively,
performatively, artistically active.

"Eclectic Tech Carnival" /A/ Linz

Der "Electric Tech Carnival" richtet sich an alle Frauen, die an dem
6ten jährlich stattfindenden Aktivitäten, heuer in Linz (/etc als
Kurzbegriff), teilnehmen wollen. Der an den 5 Tage stattfindende
Karneval beinhaltet zahlreichen Möglichkeiten Fähigkeiten im Umgang
mit Computern und Software auszutauschen und steht im Zeichen von
FLOSS (Free/Libre Open Source Software). Die Themen Gender,
Technologie und Kunst bilden Schwerpunkte. Während Workshops und
Playlabs einen kritischen Umgang mit Alltagstechnologien forcieren
und lokalen Bedürfnissen gerecht werden sollen, freuen wir uns auch
auf zahlreiche Beiträge von Frauen, die politisch, kreativ,
performativ oder künstlerisch tätig sind.
